When envisioning contemporary Afghanistan, many often conjure images of a war-torn nation under Taliban rule. However, there was a time when this country radiated peace and prosperity. Dr. Bill Podlich, a university professor, experienced this vibrant era firsthand during his visit to Afghanistan in 1967. His primary purpose for traveling was to serve as a professor of Principles of Education at the Higher Teachers College in Kabul. Beyond his academic pursuits, Dr. Podlich captured the essence of 1960s Afghanistan through his Kodachrome camera, documenting the rich culture and the connections he formed with the Afghan people during his stay.
